The First “Dongsheng Good Voice” Singing Competition

In this vibrant and passionate season, a highly anticipated singing competition was passionately staged on March 6, 2025, at the Music Hall on the tenth floor of Dongsheng Enterprise, delivering a soul-stirring audio-visual feast to all employees. With the theme “The Best Voices of Dongsheng,” the event aimed to enrich employees’ leisure lives, showcase their talents, strengthen team cohesion, and provide an outlet for emotional expression and stress relief through song amidst their busy work schedules.
On the day of the competition, the venue was aglow with dazzling lights as 17 contestants from various departments took to the stage one after another, each driven by a deep love for music and a dream of performing on stage. They were all full of energy, as if they were not on their company’s stage but on a star-studded professional music arena. From timeless classics to chart-topping hits, from soaring high notes to tender, melodic whispers, the performers brought to life a diverse array of songs with their beautiful voices, offering the audience a rich and colorful musical journey.
To kick off the event, Cheng Yanping from the Finance Department ignited the entire venue with a performance of “If.” Her beautiful melody exuded confidence and courage, prompting the audience to sway along to the rhythm and setting a rousing, high-energy tone for the entire competition. Following that, “Later” was delivered with heartfelt emotion, weaving the bittersweet regrets of youth and the insights gained through growth into every note, moving many in the audience to tears as they were swept away by a flood of memories. Then Wu Zucái from the Refrigeration Department took the stage with the electrifying hit “Big Sister,” his dynamic performance driving the atmosphere to one thrilling climax after another, accompanied by waves of cheers and applause that seemed to go on endlessly.
Throughout the competition, the judges listened intently to each contestant’s performance, meticulously scoring them across multiple dimensions, including pitch accuracy, rhythm, tone quality, emotional expression, and stage presence. Every dazzling moment on stage was the result of the contestants’ tireless hard work and dedication behind the scenes. It is understood that many contestants devoted their spare time to repeated practice in preparation for this event, striving to deliver their very best on stage. Their unwavering passion for music and deep respect for the competition are truly inspiring.

After a fiercely competitive contest, the first-, second-, and third-place winners as well as the Excellence Award for this singing competition were finally announced. The moment the host revealed the list of winners, the atmosphere in the auditorium reached its peak. Ye Jinshui from the Finance Department, the first-place winner, was so moved that tears welled up in his eyes. Holding the trophy, he shared his thoughts: “I would like to thank the company for providing such a platform that allows us to fully showcase our talents, and I also want to express my gratitude to every colleague who has supported us—this honor truly belongs to all of you!” Other award recipients likewise emphasized that this competition was not only a musical showdown but also a rare opportunity for personal growth, helping them gain confidence and forge lasting friendships.

Although the competition has now come to a close, its melodious songs seem to linger in every corner of the company. This singing contest not only provided employees with a platform to showcase their talents and unveiled many hidden “vocalists” within the organization, but also brought colleagues closer together, strengthening team cohesion and a sense of belonging.
