On January 18, 2024, Comrade Chen Hao, Secretary of the Party Branch of Dongsheng Aquatic Products, led party members and volunteers from the branch to the Ningde Jiaocheng District Children’s Welfare Home to carry out a pre-Spring Festival charitable visit and provide care for the orphaned children at the facility. On that day, the volunteers from the Dongsheng Aquatic Products Party Branch presented the children with rice, flour, grains, cooking oil, and other daily necessities, with a total value of approximately RMB 4,000.
Director Xu Yezhen of the Welfare Home shared with us the institution’s founding history and its arduous journey of development. From its humble beginnings to its growth into a thriving facility, the Welfare Home has relied on the care of government authorities and the selfless support of compassionate members of the community. We learned that Director Xu and the caregivers have devoted themselves quietly and tirelessly for decades, with many serving as unpaid volunteers. The unwavering dedication and boundless compassion of all the staff at the Welfare Home have deeply moved everyone.

Finally, Dean Xu led our delegation on a tour of the welfare home and then took us to Ningde Heng’ai Handicraft Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the welfare home. We observed the entire process of handicraft production in which children with disabilities actively participate. The display of handcrafted items was both diverse and exquisite, reflecting the meticulous craftsmanship of the young artisans. Throughout the company’s premises, motivational slogans inspired everyone to strive for excellence, underscoring the resilience, optimism, and unwavering confidence these children have in their future. The overall atmosphere was warm and harmonious.

The volunteer team from the Dongsheng Aquatic Products Party Branch was deeply moved and hopes to inspire more caring individuals to join in the act of kindness through their own small, concrete actions.
